Built from experience working with nonprofits

Hi, I’m Luis Feliz, founder of DonorFile and owner of Dymatrix Solutions.

Early in my career I provided solution to organizations that served their communities. These systems tracked services, donors and managed the mailing lists that helped them stay connected. As those lists evolved into email contacts, I saw how important it was for nonprofits to keep supporter information organized as those initial contacts grow into lasting donor relationships.

One experience in particular inspired DonorFile: I saw an organization struggle to provide donation receipts. It made me revisit ideas from my earlier work and consider how a solution I developed could make that kind of task easier. I launched DonorFile as an online system that nonprofits could access to manage donor information and donations.

DonorFile helps organizations keep track of contacts and donors, record contributions, and create donation receipts and annual giving statements. My goal is to make these everyday tasks simpler, so nonprofits can spend more time building relationships with supporters and serving their communities.

What’s next

I’m currently working on an integration with Stripe that will allow DonorFile users to set up a donation page through Stripe and have donation information flow into DonorFile. The goal is to connect online giving with donor records more smoothly.

About Luis

I’m a business and technology professional with experience in insurance, technology infrastructure, and application and database development. I started my career as a programmer in specialty weather-risk insurance, then went on to technology leadership roles supporting insurance, claims, and risk-management organizations.

Throughout my career, I’ve built and supported systems across a wide range of industries—from weather modeling and agricultural processing to logistics, insurance, and donor management. Some projects have included migrating systems and workloads to AWS, developing online platforms, and creating operational databases and applications. That combination of hands-on technical experience and business perspective shapes how I approach DonorFile: by focusing on practical tools that address real organizational needs.
